PIDC Ball Toasts Philippines’ 113th Year of Independence

Each year, the Philippine Independence Day Council, along with member groups and associations, lead the Filipino community in the GTA in marking the commemoration of the Philippines’ Independence.

The Independence Day Ball marks the start of a series of activities all around the GTA, all to honour the Philippines’ birth as a nation.

The Ball celebrates the gathering of Filipino expats in the GTA, leaders representing Filipino-Canadian associations as well as invited dignitaries representing the Philippine and Canadian governments as expression of solidarity with the Filipino people all over the world.

PIDC, as umbrella organization, adheres to its mission to commemorate the Philippines Independence Day every year;  hence, its role as main host of the Ball.

As a country’s independence is its birth as a nation, PIDC sees it fit to observe the event with solemn pomp as it toasts with pride another milestone of the Philippines — the 113th Year of  Independence.
