 L-R: Patricia Ruiz - Miss Philippines-PIDC 1st runner-up, Natalie Rafael - Miss Philippines-PIDC 2009 & Amanda Law - Miss Philippines-PIDC 2nd runner-up

PIDC Pageant was created to select Ambassadors of Goodwill to all PIDC activities such as Philippine Independence Day Gala, Salu Salo Sa Earl Bales Park and the Mabuhay! Philippines Toronto Summer Festival.

The objective is to promote the Filipino Culture, Philippines and Canada Tourism as well. Delegates will serve as a role model to the youth, showcasing poise, beauty, talents, intellect and the virtues of a true Filipina/Filipino.

The pageant provides an environment and opportunity for building confidence, personality and inner strength. Further knowledge of the Filipino culture and traditions is imbued as they participate in myriads of community activities. As Ambassadors, it instils pride in themselves and provides exciting new life experiences as they work within the community and other multi-cultural groups.

The Crowned Miss Philippines will become the Reyna Elena for the Grand Santa Cruzan and will model at the Fashion Show in the Biggest Celebration of Philippine Culture in Canada, the Mabuhay Festival.

The winner will also represent PIDC in all its events like the GALA, Picnic, Mabuhay Cup Basketball and various community events.
