WHO CAN JOIN?

1.      Hip Hop Dance Crews of 5-7 members from the U.S. and Canada.

2.      The Crew:

a.       Crews must have at least 4 members with Filipino roots (Having at least one (1) Filipino parent)

b.      Members may be male or female

c.       Each member must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada

d.      Each member must be 15 years of age or older

e.       Crews must designate one (1) member as Crew Captain

HOW TO JOIN?

1.      Dance Crews must prepare a 2-3 minute video of their hip hop dance routine

2.      Crew Captain must:

a.       Go to www.gmapinoytv.com/pinoydance

b.      Register for al All Access account for free

c.       Choose a specific area (US East Coast, US West Coast, Canada East Coast, or Canada West Coast)

d.      Fill out application form

e.       Provide a link of your 2-3 minute dance video that you have posted in any third party video portal such as you tube, my space, etc.

f.       Dance Crews are encouraged to use their own music mixes for video entries to avoid being deleted from third party video portals due to music infringement.

g.      Submit form

h.      Registration ends July 18, 2009

3.      GMA reserves the right to choose videos that will be entered into the contest

4.      After screening, GMA will open the videos to the public for viewing and voting from July 19 to 26, 2009

5.      Anyone can vote for their favorite dance videos so long as they obtain an account from All Access (free). Each user can only vote 4 times.

6.      The viewer’s votes (80%), and GMA International vote (20%) will determine the finalists from each area (US East, US West….) that will battle it out in the finals.

7.      Finalists will be notified via website, email, contact number on July 27, 2009.

8.      Finalists must provide a copy of their video to GMA International. Videos of all finalists will be considered as property of GMA and may be used for the purpose of future promotions on-air, online, in print, and other media not specified.

THE PINOY DANCE SHOW DOWN EVENT

1.      There will be one finals event per area

1.      August 8 – Toronto

2.      August 9 – New York

3.      August 14 – LA

4.      August 16 – Vancouver

2.      The event will be produced by GMA International and will feature GMA Kapuso Stars.

3.      Winners will be chosen by a qualified and experienced panel of judges

4.      There will be one winner for each area

5.      Winners will be crowned Best Kapuso Dance Crew, will receive a cash prize of $7,000 and will have a chance to be contracted in future GMA International events.
